What does this privacy policy cover?
Elevated Signal is a service of SEAM Holdings LLC DBA Elevated Signal, a California limited liability company. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data, in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act and the FTC privacy framework. We serve clients in the United States, never sell personal data and run operations inside the United States.
1. What information do we collect?
When you use our services or interact with our website, we may collect the following information:
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number, and company name provided through our contact form.
- Project details: information about your intelligence needs, budget, and timeline submitted through inquiry forms.
- Usage data: standard web analytics including pages visited, time on site, and referral source, collected via Google Analytics (see Section 5 below).
2. How do we use your information?
We use collected information to:
- Respond to your inquiries and deliver requested services.
- Prepare intelligence reports and analyses you have commissioned.
- Send service-related communications (not marketing).
- Improve our website and service offerings.
3. What data sources power our intelligence reports?
Our intelligence reports are compiled from publicly available data sources including government filings (SEC, USPTO, FEC, FDA), public web content, aggregated consumer discussion data, and licensed business databases. We do not use private or non-public personal data in our reports unless explicitly authorized by the data subject.
4. Do we share your information?
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist in delivering our services (e.g., email delivery, payment processing), bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Law enforcement or regulatory bodies when required by law.
5. What cookies and analytics do we use?
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files stored on your device) to collect information such as pages visited, time on site, and referral source.
Analytics run only for visitors in the United States:
- Visitors outside the United States: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are not loaded at all, and no analytics cookies are set.
- Visitors in the United States: Analytics are on by default. You can opt out at any time with the buttons below; the choice covers Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, is saved in this browser and applies from your next page view.
Data collected by Google Analytics is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors scroll and click on our pages so we can see where the site is confusing; Microsoft processes that data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
6. How do we secure your data?
All operations are 100% US-based. We use encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. We keep client intelligence reports and data confidential. Service providers may process information on our behalf as described in Section 4; we do not share your research with other clients or competitors or use it for purposes beyond the commissioned engagement.
7. How long do we retain your data?
Contact-form submissions are stored in our website inquiry archive for 400 days and are also sent to our business email inboxes. The archive expires automatically; that expiration does not delete the email copies. Intelligence reports are retained per the terms of your service agreement. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time.
8. What are your data rights?
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
9. What rights do California residents have under CCPA?
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at contact@elevatedsignal.com.
10. How will we notify you of policy changes?
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
11. How can you contact us about privacy?
